‘Donating’ Plasma. Saving the World and Making Money
So today I went to donate plasma for the first time. Since it was my first time it took about three hours, from personal information, to the blood test, a physical, and then the actual donation. I was expecting a needle similar to the one a doctor uses to take blood, but no, this thing was a much larger gauge and hurt. I sat there with a numb arm for 75 minutes alternating between pumping my fist to relaxing. Donating plasma consists of pulling the blood from your arm then separating the plasma from the red and white blood cells. All in all it was an unpleasant experience, but the $50 pay out on my “donation” was not a bad reward for the little over an hour of displeasure.

If you’ve ever messed around with your appearance settings you’ve probably noticed “Disqus Shortname”. I looked into it and all it does is add a comment box and like buttons to your posts (just like on facebook). Just thought I’d share this ‘cause I thought it was pretty nifty.
